There are a number of new coffee shops and cafés that have opened up in Paris since the last time I wrote about one. The latest to join this growing list comes to us from the much-loved Big Mamma Group, creators of Italian favorites East Mamma, Ober Mamma and Mamma Primi.
Biglove Caffè has opened up in the former Rose Bakery address at 30 rue Debelleyme. Now, if you’re thinking that you’ll miss the simple soups and salads of the former spot, I have to say I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The new design improves on the small space, adding extra high-top tables and trading in the old food bar for a gorgeous marble-topped counter with copper finishings.
The pancakes are nice and fluffy, topped with fresh fruit, mascarpone and served with your choice of maple syrup, chocolate or caramel sauce…just delicious. The gigantic heart-shaped plate of French toast is equally tasty…though it might take you a while to finish it off!
The popular Big Mamma locales tend to get packed pretty quickly, so I’d highly recommend hitting up Biglove Caffè for an early breakfast…you might even end up staying for lunch!
