When you live in Paris, a love of both fashion and food go hand in hand. So, when the chance to combine the two in a shoot comes along, it’s pretty amazing. I had already shot in Ladurée’s lovely Madeleine location on Rue Royale. An absolute dream, shooting the prettiest pastries with jeweled rings and glittering clutches.
After shooting with Jenny earlier in the week during her Paris trip, she asked if I would be available to join in on another shoot, this time at Ladurée’s Champs-Élysées location, and I couldn’t say no!
The setting was beautiful! And, with a table covered in colorful macarons, decadent raspberry and rose pastries, incredible Chanel jewels and vibrant Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks, what more could I want? We had an 8am start and I arrived with lighting equipment in tow. Although there was great natural light coming in, at this early hour, without the help of extra lighting, the shadows would have been too strong and I was happy to help behind-the-scenes.
Working with Jenny again was such a lovely, unexpected surprise and I’m so thrilled I got to be a part of this shoot. It was also so wonderful to work alongside the lovely Erika of Allées des Roses, who couldn’t have been nicer.
When work is this much fun, I can’t really complain, can I? For outfit details you can check out Jenny’s blog and read all about her experience. And, be sure to check out Erika’s dreamy Instagram account.
